You have read this week about becoming new in Christ once you receive Him, but what about all the “new” things you face in life after trusting in Him?
Walking the roads of life as a follower of Jesus is hard. It surprises you with speed bumps from time to time along the way. Whenever these new obstacles pop up it can throw us completely off guard. It can be very difficult to travel on your once perfect road with Christ when a new obstacle comes your way.
You shouldn’t worry though. So many times we question everything we know as followers of Christ when we are faced with something new. For instance, a health diagnosis we weren’t expecting, a new job out of state, a major expense we haven’t budgeted for, or a relationship ending can turn our lives upside down. This is new. This is unexpected. And, most times, this isn’t favorable. When you find yourself facing new challenges or new things in your life that you aren’t sure how you should handle do you know where you should go first?
You go straight to God.
“When you call on me, when you come and pray to me, I’ll listen. (Jeremiah 29:12 MSG)
Taking the new thing in your life to God is the most important thing you can do. He is readily available to listen to your fears, your worries, and anything else you want to say about the situation. He will guide you through it if only you involve Him in it. There is nothing to difficult for God. Not even the new unexpected stuff.
So, take heart followers of the Most High King! Your “new” path on your walk of life is nothing God can’t help you through. Involve Him on this new journey and He will help you through it.
