“To boldly go where no man has gone before” is more than just the tagline from one of the greatest Sci-Fi series ever…it is the call that Jesus gave everyone that would ever follow Him.

Jesus said it like this…

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18–20 (ESV)

He also said it like this…

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8 (ESV)

But one of the biggest questions is simply…”Why?”

Why choose us? Why not send angels? Better yet…Why not let Jesus do it Himself? He is so much better at it than we are!

Still, the message we have is that as His Disciples, we are sent.
