Leading Kids to Know Jesus

We believe that the best way to help your children grow to know Jesus is to partner with you, their parents. Our amazing kids volunteers provide engaging and fun environments for children, birth through 5th grade on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. If you are a regular attender of Journey, we hope that you will also choose to get involved by becoming a Journey Kidz! volunteer serving just once a month.

First Time at Journey?

If your family is joining us for the first time, you will first sign-in at the kiosk in the lobby. Someone will be there to greet you and to sign your child in as well as answer any questions you may have. You will receive 2 labels for each child. One is to place on your child so their teacher will immediately know their name, and the other is for you to keep so we can ensure that you alone can pick-up your child after the service is over. In each classroom there will also be a sign-in and sign-out sheet to let us know how many children are in each room. If your child has any allergies or special needs, please be sure and notify the volunteer at the check-in kiosk so we can ensure that we keep your child’s room a safe environment for them. Sundays 10:30am

Our Nursery is available for children, 6 weeks to 18 months. Babies have an opportunity to crawl, play, interact with age-appropriate toys, or even take a nap. Most of the time, our amazing volunteers will hold them and love on them while you are in the service. Nursing mothers can also utilize a comfortable and private area in the nursery setup just for them.

As your child grows, we become more intentional about teaching age appropriate lessons through play, stories, games and crafts. It is our hope that they will learn 3 primary lessons:

1) God made me
2) God loves me and
3) Jesus wants to be my friend forever!

As your child begins to enter school, we continue to focus on those 3 primary truths in ways that help them in their new environment and prepare them for our elementary aged envitonment, Kidmo!

All 2nd-5th graders are invited to their own worship service every Sunday morning! Kids will attend the worship part of the service with their families, and once the sermon starts, 2nd-5th graders will be dismissed to their own kid-friendly teaching time. Your kids will have a great time learning about God’s love for them with lots of fun activities geared just for them. Parents are welcome to come with their kids to see what they will be doing in Kidmo. We welcome all kids in their uniqueness. Your kids will have so much fun, they will be dragging you to church every Sunday!
