As we continue to learn about the devastation that Hurricane Helene brought through Florida and the southeast, we are learning that East Tennesse and Western North Carolina are impacted as significantly as the panhandle of Florida in part because these areas are not accustomed to this type of weather with dams on the verge of failing and entire communities being wiped out.
