Jesus has Risen…Now What?

Series

This weekend, we will be celebrating the most important date on the Christian calendar.
Easter is not just the most attended church service in the world, it is the day in which those who have been brought from the darkness and ushered into the light remember the reason for our salvation and the sacrifice that was necessary for us to know God.

For many, it’s a routine.
This is the 1 Sunday that they attend all year.
It doesn’t make sense to those who follow Jesus.
It does make sense when you believe your faith rests on that one event and nothing else, and you are simply paying homage to it.

For me, Easter is an important time to remember…and an important time to refocus the forward momentum of our faith.
Jesus didn’t teach his disciples to remember His sacrifice and then live their life however they wanted until they died or until He returned.
Instead, He gave us instructions until His return.

This weekend we will celebrate Easter with everything that is in us, but it should be less of a memorial and more of a launching pad.

“For the Love” is a new series where we will be exploring what it looks like to truly love.

By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:35 (ESV)

When we love Jesus, it changes everything about us.
How we love.
Who we love.
What we love.
When we love.

It changes our relationship with God, with our families, our husbands, our wives, our children, our neighbors, our friends, and even our enemies.

The world talks a lot about love, but it almost always misses the truth.
Love isn’t lust or sex or mutually beneficial relational bliss.

Love is active.
It’s intentional.
It’s world changing.
It’s God.

Join us for a new look at love and find out what you may be missing out on.
It may be that the heaven we are looking for in the clouds may be all around us, when we live our lives FOR THE LOVE.
